Presumably, for Apple, the typical internet connection is an OC-12 FAT PIPE direct wired to Apple's cloud servers. Took me 3 days to download Motion and so far 2 days on Garage Band. Ah, those DVD installers are looking mighty efficient at this point.

Apple updates iMovie and GarageBand for OS X Yosemite with new features and design | 9to5Mac: "Apple has pushed out updates for iMovie and GarageBand to add compatibility with OS X Yosemite and add new features for both apps. GarageBand 10.0.3 introduces a new Bass Amp Designer, tweaks to the zoom function, a new template for recording vocals, and other changes."

GarageBand continues to be my audio tool of choice, although I think I'm 2 versions behind the new one.
