Like Hipstamatic, they'll use it forever. Let's value this at a couple of billion.

News: Facebook intros Continuous Live Video API for non-stop streaming

Facebook intros Continuous Live Video API for non-stop streaming: "Facebook is pushing heavily into live video in general, exploiting it as a way to keep both the public and business clients engaged with its services. While the company's Live API had just 12 partners when it launched in April, there are now over 100. Using the API allows broadcasters to employ effects, mixing, and multiple professional cameras. "

Live streaming internet video is headed for meritocracy. Pay no attention to the Umbrella corporation trying to turn it back into old media. Use Periscope or Twitch or YouTube.

Apple sent senior engineers to customer's house to investigate music deletion issue: "This past Saturday, two Apple employees, identified only a 'Tom' and 'Ezra,' flew from California to Pinkstone's house in Atlanta, Ga., in hopes of exposing a potentially devastating iTunes issue that wiped 122GB of music, some of it original compositions, from the musician's laptop ten days earlier. "

As they say, "the squeaky wheel gets the grease".

Did we say "never"? What we meant was "sometimes".

Probably be best for everyone if Apple Music was a completely separate app from iTunes. No, wait! Let's put every music playback function that's ever been designed into one application. We'll call it megalomania.

Spotify expands video into original programming, setting up battle with Apple Music: "Music streaming service Spotify on Monday announced plans for 12 new original video series, in a move which could further intensify competition with second-place rival Apple Music."

Unless the series is Austin City Limits, I'd say this is called "I don't know what business I'm in."

News: Review: Japanese hologram pop star Hatsune Miku tours North America | Ars Technica

Review: Japanese hologram pop star Hatsune Miku tours North America | Ars Technica It only makes sense that music-producing companies would look for an even easier path to control a pop star's career and image.
Pop music is just a commercial product, why should anybody start caring now about how it is manufactured? Synthespians don't OD on heroin. They don't require a bowl of M+M's with all the green ones removed. They live forever and never age. Sounds like the music equivalent of South Park or The Simpsons.
