It's appalling how much copyrighted music is on YouTube gathering ad revenue for random uploaders. Especially when the audio fingerprinting tech is available to prevent it.

Spotify was allegedly worried that buying SoundCloud would hurt its preparations for a stock IPO, which has been rumored for 2017."
